Converting Facebook Likes to Leads

Converting Facebook Likes to Leads

Let’s be honest, you didn’t create your company’s Facebook page to boost your self-esteem. You did it to build your business. Likes are ultimately useless unless you’re converting them into leads. If your Facebook page has 500 likes but is generating no traffic or leads for your website, you really don’t have much to brag about. Here’s the good news: It’s not that hard to turn followers into prospects.

Focus your social media campaigns – not just Facebook – around the all-important call-to-action. For example, when we go to our Facebook page to promote this post, we’ll make sure and tell our followers what it is we want them to do. Such as, “Like us” or “Tell us what you think about using Facebook to get leads.”

The main thing to remember is this: Everything you put on Facebook should work to attract more likes. Do this by providing great information and irresistible offers. Don’t appear robotic by using too many automatic feed updates.

Exclusively Yours

According to research from ExactTarget, 58% of Facebook users expect unique content from business pages. Take advantage of this insight by offering downloadable content that is exclusive to your Facebook followers. Set up a targeted landing page for this content, and share the link on your Facebook page. Require that page visitors must like you in order to view your offer. You’ll be generating leads and leveraging the power of exclusivity all at the same time.

So What are You Selling?

While it’s difficult to achieve the proper balance of information and self-promotion in your social media efforts, you also want to make sure that your followers are aware of your products and/or services. Sure, they might keep coming back to you again and again because you offer engaging conversation and valuable content, but if they don’t even know what you sell, you’re not doing your job.

Make sure your page clearly communicates what your business sells, and use your lead generation offers to support that with content that aligns with your offerings. This will help spark a connection between your content and your product.

Creating custom page tabs is a great way to expand the possibilities of your Facebook page. Consider creating a tab just to highlight your offers. You can use it to aggregate some of your best-performing offers, or just to promote your newest offer on a rotating basis.

We Have a Winner!

One of the most effective strategies is creating Facebook contests. Not only are Facebook contests a great way to engage followers – they’re super fun.

The Bottom Line

All of your social media efforts should be geared toward building solid relationships, engaging more followers and increasing sales.

See you on Facebook!
